Garry Robert Moore

Garry Robert Moore, 84, of Rittman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Barberton Summa Health System after a period of declining health.

Garry was born in Portsmouth on March 16, 1939 to Jacob and Pearl (Belcher) Moore and graduated from Rittman High School in 1957.  On July 16, 1958 he married Nadine Lynn Brodbeck and together they shared nearly 65 wonderful years together.  Garry drove for Louisiana Pacific until retiring in 1999 and one of his greatest highlights was driving the annual Christmas Tree to the Capitol.  He was a member of Retired Teamsters Local #92, the Lodi United Methodist Church and was active in the former Wayne County R.E.A.C.T.  Garry and Nadine enjoyed traveling and spending time in Florida where he liked to kayak.  He also enjoyed using his smoker and his grill to entertain family and friends.

Surviving is his wife, Nadine; daughters and sons-in-law, Dottie and John Kimble of Medina, Lisa and Robert Hartman of Creston and Kris and Bill Pruett of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Brenton (Brittany) Kimble, Breanna (Geordan) Moore, Rachel Wallace, Erik (Emily) Wallace, Billy Pruett and Erin Pruett and great-grandsons, Graham, Heath, Kellen, Knox, Gabe, Wesley, Dom and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters, Willard, Edna, Donald, Ralph, Dorothy, Sherman and Paul.

Services will be Wednesday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Van Trees officiating.  Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lodi United Methodist Church, PO Box 3, Lodi, OH 44254.
