Frederick James Runucci

Frederick James Runucci, 71 of Rittman, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021 at Akron City Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born October 22, 1949 in Baltimore, MD and had made his home in the Rittman area for the past 50 years. On Jan. 9, 1971 he married the former Doris Baker and she preceded him in death on Jun 30, 2009.  Fred retired from the Packaging Corp. of America in Rittman after 38 years of service and will be greatly missed by his family.

Surviving are his daughter, Tonya Jacobs of Rittman; son-in-law, Kenneth Bishop of Marshallville; his grandchildren, Kayla Love, Joshua Love and Cody Medlen; his pride and joy, his great-granddaughter, Isabella and his four legged friends, Dozer.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Sonya Bishop on April 19, 2020.

It was Fred’s desire to not have any services.  Please share a story or a memory of his life with his family. Tonya extends her deepest appreciation to Dave Manis and Gary and Karen Gaugler for everything that they did for her Dad over the years.
