Frances Emogene "Jean" Poston

Frances E. “Jean” Poston, 94, of Seville passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 after a brief illness.

Jean was born in Harold, KY on Oct. 26, 1929 to William and Ethel (Meade) Keathley and married Malcolm “Mac” Poston on Oct. 19, 1946 in Ashland, KY.  Mac preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1999.  She had been an area resident since 1954 and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Medina.  Jean had enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Surviving is her daughter, Beverly Potter.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Zella Barrett and brothers, Clyde and Jack Keathley.

Jean was laid to rest privately beside her husband, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston handled arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Medina, 3646 Medina Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
