Estel Lee "Charlie" Frazier

July 1, 1945 — October 20, 2023

Doylestown

Estel Lee Frazier, 78, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 20, 2023. He was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on July 1, 1945, to the late Charles and Dulcie (Lowe) Frazier, both of Pritchard, West Virginia. He married the love of his life, Connie Lou Frazier (Baker) on April 3, 1965, and she survives. Estel is also survived by his three children David (Janet) Frazier of Rittman, Tammy Hatfield of Sterling, and Beverly (Rob) Gable of Rittman; siblings Karen Adkins of Wooster, Ava Adkins of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mary Downey Silva of Marion, Kentucky; grandchildren Brent Hatfield, Brittany (Ron) Hatfield, Logan Frazier, Morgan Frazier, Sydney Gable, Katelyn Gable, and Madyson Gable; great-grandchildren Rylee, Braxlee, Liam, and Andrew; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends and neighbors. In addition to his beloved Granny, Mary Elizebeth Lowe of Pritchard, West Virginia, he was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James Frazier, Thelma Rowe, Eunice Harmon, Verlin Adkins, and Lois Frazier; and granddaughter, Samantha Frazier. Estel, known as “Charlie” by many, worked at Crown Steel Products, formerly Crown Fiberglass in Orrville for 30 years where he was a tow motor operator and goofed off a lot, retiring when the shop closed in 1995. He thoroughly loved being a husband, father, and grandfather. Beyond Connie, his passions were working on and detailing cars early in his life, and later in life he enjoyed crafting decorative birdhouses and tinkering outside. Married to Connie for 58 years, he loved going for long drives, getting coffee together, going to parks, and Saturday nights dancing with his beloved wife. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, October 27 at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. A private funeral service for the family will follow, with Pastor Bud Olszewski officiating, and a celebration of life will be planned for a later time.
