Erika F. Duplaga

Erika Francisca Duplaga, 91, of Medina, passed away August 2, 2019 at her home.

Born on May 8, 1928 in Germany, she met and married Sgt. Eugene Duplaga, an American Soldier during the Korean War and immigrated to the United States in 1954.  They made their home in Medina where she was a member of the V.F.W. Post  5137 Auxiliary, the Medina Moose and the Medina Eagles.

Erika was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene on Oct. 9, 2006, children, Eugene A. Duplaga, Deborah Hursky and Ernest Duplaga and is survived by her son, Edward Duplaga; grandchildren, Heather Hano and Henry Hursky and great-granddaughter, Harper Hano.

Interment services will be held Thursday, Aug. 15th at 12:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.  A celebration of Erika’s life will follow at the V.F.W. Post 5137, 3916 Pearl Rd., Medina, OH from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.   Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Post 5137 Auxiliary.
