Eric J. Huffman, 52, of Westfield Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at his home.
He was born July 12, 1965 to Mary (Reynolds) Huffman and the late Ronald Huffman and was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his discharge from the military he then went on to work for the Department of Corrections. He was a volunteer firefighter for Seville-Guilford Fire Dept. for over 20 years and he enjoyed many hobbies including, hunting, camping and riding his Harley. Eric especially enjoyed his late and current dogs, Bo and Jed.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Yvonne (nee Gertsch); his children, Melissa (Jason) Klutz of Orrville, Sarah (Jacob) Kerr of Seville and Jacob (Amanda) Huffman of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Chandler, Madison, Lincoln, Janiel and Sophia; his mother, Mary Huffman of Burbank; sister, Kim (Gerry) Saba of Timberlake; brother, Michael (Wanda) Huffman of Akron; his step-mother, Jo Ellen Huffman of Seville and many nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 2017.
Friends may call Monday, Feb. 5th from 5-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH for a celebration of Eric’s life. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6th at 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
