Emma Faye Winebrenner, 87, of Burbank passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 15, 2025 after a battle with dementia.
Faye was born on Dec. 16, 1937 in Wayne, WV to Harrison and Bertha (Bloss) Baisden and married Ronald Olin Winebrenner on Dec. 21, 1957. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2005. Faye retired from Wayne County Board of Education having worked at the Alternative School and had cooked for the Wayne County Head Start program for numerous years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman where she had been a Sunday School Teacher and had been a Girl Scout Leader for over 50 years having been the Area Director, Cookie Chairman and an Outdoor Education Teacher. She and her husband were Norwayne FFA Honorees, and they had worked together operating their ceramic shop from their home. Faye was always a busy woman, and she enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and giving away many blankets that she made.
Surviving are her children, Randy of Albermarle, NC, Ronald and his wife Beth of Shreve, Raymond of Burbank and Rita of Lander, WY; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren a brother, Charles Baisden of Wooster and a sister-in-law, Lois Baisden of Creston and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; daughter, Raetta; brothers, Merle, Burgess, Stanley, Almo, William and Glen and sisters, Ruth, Naoma and Iva.
Services will be Monday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Mike Lamar officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
