Emma A. Shetler, 69, of 9131 County Road 245, Holmesville, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 27, 2020 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a brief illness.
Emma was born Feb. 11, 1951 near Maysville to the late Levi and Martha (Miller) Hilty and married Andrew M. Shetler on March 19, 1970. She was a member of the Amish Church.
Surviving is her husband, Andrew; her sons, Levi (Alta) Shetler of Beach City and Dan (Linda) Shetler of Holmesville; her daughter, Edna Shetler of the home; grandchildren, Emily, Leander, James (Sheralyn), Marcus, Rebekah, Timothy, Regina, Michael, Deborah, Jason and Brian; 2 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Susan Shetler; brothers, Eli (Ella) Hilty and Pete (Mary) Hilty of Holmesville; a sister, Amanda (Eli) Gingerich of Fredericksburg; a brother-in-law, Jacob Shetler of Holmesville and a sister-in-law, Ida Hilty of Amity, OR.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elma Shetler who passed away 3 months ago; a grandson, William Shetler; her parents, Levi and Martha Hilty; a brother, Dan Hilty; a sister, Linda Shetler and her in-laws, Mose and Amanda Shetler.
Services will be Friday, Oct. 30th at 9:00 a.m. at the Shetler Residence with Bishop Alvin Hilty officiating. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, Prairie Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
