Eloise Joan Meager, 85, of Seville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024 at Life Care Center of Medina after a period of declining health.
Eloise was born on April 11, 1939 in Leslie, WV to George and Ruby (Nutter) Campbell and graduated from Norwayne High School in 1957. She was married to Albert “Bud” Meager for 37 years until his death on Aug. 30, 2000 and had made her home in Seville and Creston most of her life. She was a member of the South Main St. Church of God in Rittman.
Surviving are her children, Carl (Velvet) Meager, Butch (Janet) Meager of Medina, Gary (Athena) Meager of Seville and Alan (Eileen) Meager of Seville; step-sons, Glen (Shirley) Meager of Tennessee, Karl (Evette) Meager of Creston and Steve (Corinth) Meager of Columbus; son-in-law, Tony Thompson of Rittman; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Myron Huffman on Aug. 3, 1963 and Albert “Bud” Meager on Aug. 30, 2000, a daughter, Cathy Thompson in 2014, a sister, Anna Starcher and brothers, George and Darrell Campbell.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Ball officiating. Friends may call Friday, from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. The family would like to give a special thanks to her granddaughter, Julie Guernsey, the staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve and Life Care Center of Medina and to Mike and Melissa Cook from Silver Wings for all the wonderful care given to Eloise.
