Ellen J. Green

Ellen J. Green, 88, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Ellen was born June 23, 1930 in Fredericksburg to the late Walter and Reva (Foster) Brinkerhoff and was a 1948 graduate of Fredericksburg High School.  On July 7, 1951 she married Howard Green and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1984.  Ellen retired from the Wayne County National Bank, formerly the Fredericksburg Citizens Bank in 1990 after 23 years of service and had made her home in Fredericksburg all of her life.

Surviving are her children, Douglas Green of Wooster, Cheryl (Bill) Schmitt of Ft. Pierce, FL, Pamela (Scott) Buss of Springfield, OH and Brian (Dena) Green of Fredericksburg; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Millie) Brinkerhoff of Fredericksburg and a sister-in-law, Joan Brinkerhoff of Wooster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter-in-law, Connie Green and a brother Robert Brinkerhoff.
