Eli J. Troyer, 84, of 7219 S. Apple Creek Road, Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Eli was born on February 17, 1942, in Wayne County, OH to Jacob R. and Fannie (Miller) Troyer and married Katie Mast on January 2, 1964. Katie survives. Eli was a woodworker and member of the Old Order Amish.

Surviving is his wife, Katie; children Laura (Roy Allen) Mast of Millersburg, Ada (Roy) Miller of Apple Creek, MaryAnn (Paul) Miler of Apple Creek, Leroy (Marilyn) Troyer of Fredericksburg, Robert (Amy) Troyer of Fredericksburg, Wayne (Lucinda) Troyer of Perrysville, OH, Melvin (Amanda) Troyer of Columbus, NC, Anna (John) Miller of Millersburg, IN, and Milan (Anna Mae) Troyer of Loudonville; 44 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Aden (Clara) Troyer of Fredericksburg, Sanford Troyer of Fredericksburg, Noah (Barbara) Troyer of Holmesville, and Jacob Jr. (Edna) Troyer of Apple Creek; sisters, Barara (Alfred) Schlabach of Orrville, Anna Troyer of Fredericksburg, and Erma Yoder of Middlefield; sisters-in-law, Fannie Troyer of Millersburg and Susie Troyer of Shreve.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Amanda Troyer, brothers, Rudy and Dan Troyer, two infant sisters, an infant brother, brother-in-law, Roy Yoder, one grandson, and two great-grandsons.

Servies will be Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Vernon R. Miller residence, 6900 S. Apple Creek Road, Fredericksburg, OH with Bishop Freeman Troyer officiating. Burial will be in Troyer Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Vernon Miller residence and anytime on Monday. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
