Eli Ezra Schmucker

Eli Ezra Schmucker, 74, of Rittman, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Akron City Hospital.

He was born Feb. 3, 1943 in Holmes County to Ezra and Emma (Burkholder) Schmucker. Eli loved his family and friends and had a great passion for horses.

Surviving are his children, Donny (Katherine) Schmucker of Burbank, Dorothy (David) Sorrells of Wooster and Shauronna (Phillip) Burkhart of Loudonville; step-daughters, Stephanie, Charlotte and Wendy and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eli also leaves behind sisters, Martha (Dan) Mast and Luella (Paul) Mast both of Millersburg, Katie Ruth Goodrich of Wooster and Emma (Jacob) Troyer of Shreve. Eli was met as the crossed into Heaven by his parents, his late wife, Linda Jean Schmucker, son, Eli Ezra Schmucker, II, infant son Samuel Lee Schmucker, granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Schmucker and stillborn sister, Ada.

Services will be Wednesday, May 10th at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Fellowship Church, 8570 County Road 245, Holmesville, OH with Paul Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday at the New Life Church from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
