Eli H. Miller

Eli H. Miller, 81, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon.

Eli was born Aug. 2, 1935 in Salt Creek Township, Holmes County to the late Harvey and Nancy (Hostetler) Miller and married Katie L. Gingerich on Nov. 23, 1961. She survives. He had been a building contractor and had worked as a lumber estimator for several local saw mills. He was a member of the Amish Church.

Surviving are his wife, Katie; children, Laura (Dan) Miller of Fredericksburg, Melvin (Clara) Miller of Shreve, Joseph (Lucinda) Miller of Fredericksburg, Levi (Martha) Miller of Brinkhaven, William (Irene) Miller of the home, Marianne (William) Hostetler of Apple Creek, Robert (Ruth) Miller of Fredericksburg, Ada (Paul) Hilty of Holmesville and Linda Miller of Shreve; 56 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Mary W. Miller of Walnut Creek.

He was preceded in death by 2 grandsons; an infant brother; half-brothers, Jacob, Howard and William and a half-sister, Mary Shetler.

Services will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the Roy Hostetler residence, 4236 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg with Bishop Joe Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in the Graber Road Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the Hostetler residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
