Edward Russell Pittman

Edward Russell Pittman, 62, of Wooster, died Monday evening, June 6, 2016 at Medina Hospital after a brief illness. Ed was born May 28, 1954 in Lodi to Vernon and Alma (High) Pittman and married the former Jan Breyley on March 9, 1979. She survives. He had worked his entire life to support his family. He had made his home in Wooster for the past 26 years previously residing in Creston and enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, play cards, blue grass music and working on cars and small engines. Ed always enjoyed helping others and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife, Jan; son, Clint and Mandi Pittman of Wooster; daughter, Kala Pittman and Josh Mong of Wooster; grandchildren, Brooke Way, Kaden Houser, Karsen Mong and Jozlynn Giauque; his mother, Alma Pittman of Rittman, brothers, Chuck Pittman of Quaker City and Leonard Pittman of Beallsville; sisters, Deb Lauinger of Creston, Ruth Meade of Miltonsburg, Marcie McCammon of Woodsfield and Carol Garnes of Rittman; his mother-in-law, Ruth Breyley of Medina and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon and his father-in-law Loren Breyley. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call Friday from 5- 8 p.m. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery with a gather following at 1:00 p.m. at the Creston Community Center.
