Edith Pearl “Edie” Vaughan, 67, of Apple Creek, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 2016 at her home after a period of declining health.
Edie was born Feb. 15, 1949 in Wooster to the late Lawrence and Vera (Lehman) Hendrix and married Warden “Ed” Vaughan on May 20, 1978. He survives. She had worked for Wooster Taxi Service, delivered newspaper for the The Daily Record and most recently transported Amish. She had made her home in Apple Creek for the past 10 years having previously residing in Congress and enjoyed doing scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband Ed, sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Alfred of Apple Creek, Keith (Renee) Alfred of Wooster, Jeffrey (Wilma Wilson) Alfred of of Dalton and Adam (Holly) Alfred of Creston; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, a sister Sandy (Michael) Heaton of Wooster and brothers, Robert (Rose Ann) Hendrix of Shelby, Richard Hendrix of Fredericksburg and Ronnie Hendrix of Apple Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Alfred.
Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg where Rev.
