Dorothy May Norton

Dorothy May Norton, 97, formerly of Lodi, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Smithville-Western Care Center where she had made her home for many years.

Dorothy was born May 8, 1922 near Wellington to the late Ernest and Hilda Mary (Stokes) Trigg and married Clayton Norton who preceded her in death in 1994.  Dorothy had attended the First Congregation of Lodi.

She is survives by her children, Herbert Norton of Ashland, Laura Haines of Wooster, Clifford (Lisa) Norton of Medina and William (Edith) Norton of Marshallville; 17 grandchildren many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Sheffler of Elyria and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Lloyd, Clarence, Ralph and Richard Trigg and sisters, Gertrude Boyd and Lena Albright.

Services will be Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi with Pastor Jamie Fryberger officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Donation may be sent to Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 to help with final expenses.
