Doris May Formanek

Doris May Formanek, 85, of Lodi, departed this life on Oct. 20, 2018 at Medina General Hospital.

Doris was born in Brooklyn, OH on May 12, 1933 to the late Leonard and Helen (Darr) Pope. She graduated from Lodi High School and had worked at OEC in Medina and as a waitress at several restaurants in the area. She enjoyed playing bingo and gardening and loved helping people. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Glen(Shirley) Meager of TN, Karl (Evette) Meager of Creston and Steve(Cori) Meager of Plain City; daughter-in-law, Violet Meager; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brothers Thomas (Patsy) Pope of Texas, Raymond (Beverly) Pope of Seville, Robert (Shirley)Pope of Creston and Bruce (Joyce) Pope of Homerville and a sister Cheryl (Ron) Eagle of Jeromesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Formanek, her parents, son, Terry Meager, brothers, Harvey “Bud” and Leonard Pope and sisters, Ruth Reynolds and Lorene Charleton.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 4:00 until time of services at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Seville Mound Hill Cemetery. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
