Doris Jean Daugherty

Doris Jean Daugherty, 77, of Wooster, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Akron General Medical Center after a brief illness. Doris was born June 13, 1940 in Ivydale, WV to the late Dewey and Chessie (Dawson) Walker and was a 1958 graduate of Waynedale High School. She married Edward B. Daughtery on July 27, 1959 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2013. They are now together again. She retired from Rubbermaid after 30 years of service and enjoyed fishing, watching cooking shows and American Pickers and was a faithful and dedicated Indians fan. Surviving are her three children, Dwayne Daugherty, Jimmy Daugherty and Theda Daugherty all of Wooster; a sister, Donna Summers and a brother, Bobby Walker both of Fredericksburg and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Lloyd and Earl Walker and a sister, Sally Shifflet. Services will be Monday, June 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with burial following in Fredericksburg East Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Monday.
