Donnie "Peanut" Kollert

Donnie “Peanut” Kollert, 82, of Orrville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 at Orrville Pointe Care Center after a brief illness.

Donnie was born on July 20, 1939 in Lodi to the late Ora and Mary Katherine Kollert and was a 1958 graduate of Norwayne High School.  He served in the Ohio National Guard during the 1960’s and over the years worked at Barefoot Sole, Gerstenslagers, Rubbermaid Inc, and for Zollinger’s Landfill in Rittman.  He had enjoyed watching Old Westerns on TV, playing Euchre and Bingo.  Donnie loved the outdoors and enjoyed car rides in the country.

Surviving is his brother, Richard “Dick” Kollert of Orrville; sister, Linda Gray of Wooster and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sisters, Beverly Artrip, Harold Kollert, Maybelle Strickland and Elaine Artrip.

Services will be Friday, Oct. 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
