Donald Patrick Walton

Donald Patrick Walton, 69, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 at his home after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born Sept. 2, 1950 in Wooster to the late Elmer and Denna (Walton) Yockey and was a 1969 graduate of Northwestern High School.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1969 – 1972 and was a member of the American Legion in Wooster.  In his retirement he transported Amish and enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, taking vacations and trip and telling stories.  He will be remembered for playing Santa and bring much joy to people.

Surviving are his children, Don (Alyssa) Walton of Wooster, September (Darvis) Donley of Copley and Eric Walton of Wooster; 6 grandchildren and his sister, Debbi Jenkins of Wooster.

A service of remembrance will be held Friday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Darcy Miller officiating followed by military honors.  Friends will be received from 1:00 until time of services at 2:00 p.m.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
