Donald "Pinky" Thompson

Donald E. “Pinky” Thompson, 60, of Seville, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, May 1, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

He was born Jan. 4, 1957 in Akron to Donald and Elaine (Korman) Thompson and was a 1976 graduate of Rittman High School. On June 9, 1979 he married the former Janet Imhoff and she survives. He had worked at Esmark Steel in Valley City for 40 years retiring in Nov. 2016 and was a huge sports fan and he loved to fish. He always liked traveling and being on the road with his son, Adam and he will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Janet; son, Adam Thompson of Seville; his mother, Elaine Thompson of Atwater; brothers, Scott Thompson and Denny (Chris) Thompson of Rittman; sisters, Janet Thompson of Rittman, Sue (Rick) Miller of Doylestown and Cathy (Russell) Musgrove of Winston, Salem, NC; sisters-in-law, Paula (Steve) Stickey, Terry (Matt) Bottomley and Alberta (Mick) Skraba; many nieces and nephews including his favorite little girl, niece Lauren Bottomley and his faithful dog, Toby. He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
