Donald Carl Randles

Donald Carl Randles, 92, of Millersburg passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a period of declining health.

Don was born in Blissfield on July 11, 1930 to the late Lloyd and Fern (Mullett) Randles and graduated from Blissfield High School in 1948.  On Dec. 25, 1950 he married Norma Louise Hogberg and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2021.  In 1951 Don joined the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1984 after 33 years of service.  His service took him to Spain, France and Vietnam and he was awarded the Bronze Star and received many commendations.  He traveled around the world having visited France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Libya, Greece, Thailand and England.  Everywhere he went he made new friends and enjoyed trying local foods.   He was a member of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church and will be remembered for his love of people and the Lord.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and William Spero of Austin, TX; daughter-in-law, Carol Randles of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Jeff Randles, Jill Spero and Melanie Spero; great-grandchildren, Max, Jillian, Camden and Selene; a sister, Mary Jane Roff of Chagrin Falls and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; a son, Blaine, brothers, Earl, Owen and Glen, and a sister Norma Jean Baker.

Services will be Saturday, Dec. 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 1150 Massillon Rd., Millersburg, OH with Pastor James Butler officiating. Burial will be in Blissfield Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
