Donald F. Lonier

Donald F. Lonier, 80, of Wooster, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a lengthy illness.

Don was born near Fredericksburg at Calmoutier on Dec. 10, 1938 to the late Alexander and Vitaline (Fairbanks) Lonier and was a 1956 graduate of Wooster High School.  On June 20, 1959 he married the love of his life, Carol Hooser and together they shared 60 wonderful years together.  Don retired at the age of 72 from Mancan Services in Massillon and had previously worked at Ametek-Lamb Electric in Kent and at Pretty Products in Coshocton.  He had made his home in the Silver Lake area prior to moving back to Wooster and attended Grace Church.  Don loved to golf and always enjoyed traveling for business which took him to many countries throughout the World.

Surviving are his wife, Carol of 60 years; daughters, Debra Lynn Walker of Wooster and Diane Marie (Robert) Baker of Killbuck; grandchildren, Stephanie Colebank, Christopher Urbano, Jacob Walker and Sarah Palmer; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Savannah, Daniel, Alyssa, Ki’ara, Khloe and Kryion and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and James and sister, Carole Ann Holdren.

Services will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Robert Fetterhoff officiating.  Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of services.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com   Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
