Donald Lee Holmes

Donald Lee Holmes, 87 of Camp Verde, AZ and formerly of the Wooster area died peacefully at Sedona Winds Assisted Living Center in Sedona AZ on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022 after a period of declining health. Don was born in Akron on July 13, 1935 to Jacob Donald. and Fern Marie (Gaugler) Holmes.  He was a truck driver for 30 years and was also a master mechanic. Don enjoyed collecting old cars and enjoyed the last ten years living in Arizona.

Surviving are his children, D. Monie (Gennie) Holmes of Wooster, Linda (Joseph) Hershey of Creston, Shannon (Dan) Sanek of Parma Heights and Stephen (Mo) Holmes Loveland  CO; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Hershey, Lorrain (Nick) Hershberger, Aaron (Melodie) Holmes and Alex Holmes; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ladonna Reed of Wooster. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Holmes.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Aug. 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.  There will be no calling hours.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
