Obituary:

Butch Crabtree, 66, of Creston, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was born Donald Carl Crabtree on Jan. 5, 1952 in Lodi to the late Donald and Cleo (Bauman) Crabtree and was a 1971 graduate of Norwayne High School. Butch had managed the Veal Plant in Creston for many years and enjoyed hunting arrow heads, watching sports and caring for his dog, Polly. Surviving are his wife, Jean McIlvaine Crabtree; his daughter, Michelle Crabtree of Rittman; step-daughter, Heather (Michael) Wickens of Wooster; 4 step-granddaughters; a sister, Pat (Dan) Hess of Sterling; nieces and nephews and special friends, David and Virginia Hampe and their daughter Polly. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elly McDevitt, Vickie Crabtree and Carol Evanish. Family services will be held at a later date with interment in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
