Donald D. Avery

Donald D. Avery, 71, of Creston, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021.

Donnie was born April 5, 1949 in Lodi to the late Deward and Dessie (Pittman) Avery and married the former Bonnie Cline on Aug. 26, 1967.  Together they shared 53 wonderful years together.  He retired from King Drilling and was a member of the Creston Moose Lodge.  Donnie enjoyed hunting and spending time at his cabin in Monroe County.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Kyle Steele of Creston; his favorite granddaughter, Madison Lunsford; a sister, Sandra Knight of Creston and a host of family and friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda.

Donnie requested that there be no services held.  Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
