Diane Lee Horner

Diane Lee Horner, 72, of Wooster, passed away on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

Diane was born on March 8, 1953, in Wooster to Lyman Sr. and Donna Mae (Duncan) Dawson and graduated from West Holmes High School in 1972. On Aug. 29, 1992 she married Russell Horner, and he survives. She had worked at the Elks in Wooster and at other area restaurants and attended the Nashville Church of Christ. Diane enjoyed watching and feeding birds, gardening and collecting clowns. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

Surviving is her husband, Russ; her daughter, Heather Pritchard; grandchildren, twin granddaughters, Alexia and Alice and grandson, Caiden; sisters and brother, Lois (Gene) Young, Lyman (Ann) Dawson, Judy (Larry) Martin, Bruce (Gina) Mitchell and Deanna (Jeremy) Black and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyman Dawson and Donna Stine; sisters, Marilyn Rohrer and Gina Duncan and a brother Duane Dawson.

Services will be Friday, Feb. 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
