Desiree Denise Pilkington

Desiree Denise Pilkington, 57, of Orrville passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 22, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1965 in Alexandria, VA to David Kenneth Sr. and Sharon Elaine (Blake) Pilkington and grew up in Sterling.  Desiree was a 1983 graduate of Norwayne High School and had worked at Arby’s, Lowes and Huntington Bank over the years. She enjoyed reading, making her daily lists of things to do and watching the Indians.  Desiree will be remembered for her jokes and sense of humor and for making others happy.

Surviving are her loving companion, Charles Metsker who she shared the past 4 years with; her mother, Sharon Pilkington of Sterling; brother and sister-in-law, David Jr. and Angie Pilkington of Glen St. Mary, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Danella and Dave Boreman of Wooster; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Jared, Krista, Kaylee, Tyler and Brody and great-nieces and great-nephew, Ensley, Gatlin and Lillian.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2008.

At Desiree’s request, private family services will be held at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Department  in care of the Aultman Foundation, 2600 Sixth St., SW, Canton, OH 44710
