Delores Ruth (Brammer) Howard

Delores Ruth Howard, 89, of LaGrange, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin after an unexpected illness.

Ruth was born Nov. 2, 1931 in St. Marys, WV to the late Archie and Opal (Little) Brammer and was a 1950 graduate of Creston High School.  On June 23, 1963 she married Merle Howard and he preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2011.  Ruth retired from the former Elyria Memorial Hospital where she had been a telephone operator and was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaGrange.  She had made her home with her daughter for the past several years and attended Kipton Community Church.  Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, her beloved cats and Blue Grass Music.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Paul Burt of Kipton; sister, Dorothy Varns of Wooster and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Dwight and Leon and a sister, Fonda Hilty.
