Debra L. Bailey

Debra L. Bailey, 61, of West Salem died peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief battle with cancer. Deb was born Nov. 30, 1955 in Wadsworth to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Jean (Anshutz) Bricker and was a 1975 graduate of Norwayne High School. She worked for Northwestern Local Schools in the cafeteria having worked at the elementary school and more recently at the middle school. Deb enjoyed camping, traveling, going to Amish Country and shopping at Cabela's. She had made her home in Creston moving to West Salem in 1990. Surviving are her husband, Carl; sons, Adam Winchell and his fiancée’ Sarah Jones and Wayne Winchell of West Salem; step-children, Brad and Julie Bailey and Crystal and Mike Watkins both of Ashland; grandchildren, Carrie Winchell, Austin Watkins and Kimberly Watkins; a sister, Barbara (Ron) Ellis of Columbus and a brother, Jim Bricker of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Chad Winchell in 2013. Services will be Tuesday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery.
