David Wayne Underwood

David Wayne Underwood, 62, of Creston, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024 after a long hard fight with cancer.

David was born on Feb. 5, 1962 in Bluefield, WV to the late William S. and Betty Sue (Kerwood) Underwood.  He had been a semi-truck driver having driven for Buckeye Veal and had enjoyed boating, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leisha (Bush) Underwood; children, Brad Underwood, Sean M. (Christi) Reilly, Paul Jr. (Charity) Reilly and Nicolina Heter; 11 grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Underwood and Danny (Jo) Underwood; a sister, Carolyn Alesi and in-laws and nieces and nephews that loved and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Underwood; his parents and a brother, William “Pete” Underwood.

A family celebration will be held at a later date. The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for the wonderful care and support that they provided.
