David William Murray

David W. Murray, 88, of Wooster, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Dave was born March 23, 1932 near Sterling to the late Tully and Neva (Rennecker) Murray. He retired from Will-Burt in Orrville and had previously worked at Gerstenslagers in Wooster.  He attended Crossroads Assembly of God in Creston and enjoyed gardening and antiquing.  Dave was faithful to his Lord and to his family and was a wonderful husband to his wife, Rosemarie (Lozzi) Murray who he married on Sept. 30, 1989.  They had recently celebrated 31 years together on Sept. 30th.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemarie; children, Fred (Regina) Murray of Lodi and Pam (Stanley) Toole of Piedmont, OH; daughter-in-law, Susan Murray of Sterling; 7 grandchildren; Brent (Kari) Murray of Sterling, Melissa (Kevin) Stoudmire of Creston, Alicia (Mark) Belmont of Creston, Amanda (Brad) Gasser of Orrville, Jerimaha (Melissa) Murray of Chippewa Lake, Jessica (Dustin) Riedel of Spencer and Jennifer Caldwell of Freeport; 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Schaffter of Wooster and Marilyn (Ray) Aspinall of Orrville and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Murray; a granddaughter, Allison Murray; a great-grandson, Zachary Murray; brothers, Adin, Wayne and Kenneth Murray and sisters, Helen Steiner and Grace Murray.

Family services will be held Wednesday Nov. 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastors Mike Boggs and David Paulovich officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
