Darrell Lee Stahl, 67, of Jacksonville, FL and formerly of the Creston area, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 at the home of his brother in West Salem after a battle with cancer.
Darrell was born July 19, 1953 in Lodi and was a member of the Cloverleaf Class of 1972. He retired from the Department of Justice in Jacksonville and had formerly worked at the Akron Beacon Journal. Darrell had made his home in Florida for the past 21 years and was an avid bowler having bowled on several area leagues. He enjoyed doing woodworking and watching NASCAR.
Surviving are his daughters, Amy and her husband Matt Wacker of Wellington and Miranda Stahl of Seville; grandchildren, Brandon, Shianne, Lydia, Lillie and Dessie Wacker and Damarlea Skipper; his mother, Gertrude “Gertie” Gorey; brothers and sisters, Doug Gorey, Greg (Christine) Gorey, Tom Gorey, Roy Gorey, Dawn (David) Baker, Debra Harper and Lynn (Ron) Zivcsak and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Gorey and his grandparents, Les and Della Stahl.
