Darrell Ivan Delong

Darrell Ivan DeLong, 70 of Lodi, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 at Burbank Parke Care Center after a period of declining health.

Darrell was born on Oct. 13, 1954 in Lodi to John Hollis and Kathryn Louise (Henry) DeLong and was a 1973 graduate of Cloverleaf High School.  On Sept. 2, 1977 he married Sandra Kay Immel and she survives.  A lifetime farmer, Darrell also worked for Canaan Township for 30 years and later after retiring worked for Congress and Homer Townships.  Darrell was a perfectionist when it came to his work and equipment, and he was devoted to the family farm that had been in the family since the Civil War.  When he wasn’t working, Darrell enjoyed hunting.

Surviving is his wife, Sandy; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen and Aaron Martin and Robert and Darlene Immel and nieces and nephews, Michele DeLong, Shania Reed, Tom Immel and Ethan Immel.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Robert DeLong in 2022, his parents and a brother Lewis DeLong.

At Darrell’s request, there will be no services.
