Danny Joe Terry

Danny Joe Terry, 73, of Wadsworth, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 while surrounded by his family at the Cleveland Clinic after a lengthy illness.

Danny was born on June 20, 1950 in East Lynn, WV to Joe and Mary (McComas) Terry.  On Aug. 13, 2004 he married Amy Lynn Hartman and she survives.  He retired from MIRK Inc.  in Orrville after 39+ years and had made his home in the Wadsworth area.  He was a member of the Victory Chapel in Akron and enjoyed watching Westerns on TV and writing songs.

Surviving is his wife, Amy; his children, Terril Terry, Shanoah  and her husband Dustyn Johnson, James and his wife Savannah Dingess, Parker Dingess and Djessa Terry; grandchildren, Cyres Jervis, Dakota Terry, Serenity Dingess and Ellie Johnson; his mother-in-law, Barbara Workman; sisters, Janice Morrison and Peggy Kenega and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Chester Hartman; sisters, Lisa Hartman and Betty and her husband Doug Justice and a brother, Noah Dingess and a brother-in-law, Chris Kenega.

Services will be Sunday, Dec. 17th at 4:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Bruce Sparks officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery at a later date.
