Danny J. Jackson, 71, of Rittman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

He was born in Wadsworth on Jan. 8, 1951 to Miles and Edith (Eveland) Jackson and was a 1969 graduate of Rittman High School.  On Dec. 27, 1969 he married his high school sweetheart, Judy C. Carpenter and she survives.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam from June 19, 1969 – March 2, 1973 and had made his home in Rittman most of his life.  Danny had worked at Admiral Machine for 33 years and later retired from Quality Mold after 10 years of service.  He enjoyed tinkering around the house, fishing and watching Sci-fi Movies, especially Godzilla was his favorite, and he loved old cars.

Surviving is his wife, Judy; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Margaret Jackson of Rittman; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Daniel Gause of Warsaw, IN; 5 grandchildren, Landon, Aaron, Shani, Tyler and Tagan; his mother, Edith Jackson of Barberton; a brother and sister-in-law, Miles and Donna Jackson of Seville; sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Warren Burford of Barberton and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Miles Jackson.

Private family services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Pastor Ray Sanders of Northside Christian Church officiating.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Danny was ministered to by the Cancer Support Group at Northside Christian Church and was wonderfully cared for by the Fresenius Dialysis Center in Wadsworth.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Center at 1160 William Reserve Blvd., Wadsworth, OH 44281.
