Danny Ray Buckland

Danny Ray Buckland, 72, of Creston, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus following an accidental fall.

Danny was born on Feb. 13, 1952 in Isaban, WV and was the son of the late Carl and Virginia Buckland.  He graduated from Medina High School in 1971 and retired from Do It Best.  Dan was a member of Grace Church in Norton.  He enjoyed every opportunity he had to attend church and spend time with his Grace group.  Danny loved spending time outdoors, whether it was spending time on the beach or in the woods.  Danny served as an Assistant Scout Leader in the Boy Scouts of America for four years and he loved his family.

Surviving are his siblings, Douglas (Laura) Buckland, Steven Buckland, Sharon (Michael) Blanton and Valarie (Brian) McKee.  He is also survived by 4 nephews, 2 nieces, and 2 great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne “Anne” on Jan. 13, 2022 and his parents in 2019 and 2020.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, December 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Church, 3970 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Norton, OH 44203 with Pastor Bob Combs officiating.   Dan was privately buried with Anne at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
