Daniel Eugene Ferguson

Daniel Eugene “Danny” Ferguson, 81, of Big Prairie went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital after a sudden illness.

Danny was born near Creston on March 18, 1941 to Earnest C. and Vinda Alice (Johnson) Ferguson and married Patricia A. Trostle on Dec. 17, 1976.  Danny had been a self-employed logger and later  was a truck driver.  He had made his home in Creston for many years having lived in Big Prairie for the past 14 years.  Danny attended Country Bible Fellowship in Danville and loved singing gospel music for over the past 50 years.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and his cats but most of all he loved his family and the Lord.

Surviving are his wife, Pat; children, Aaron (Stacy) Wilkinson and Seth “Gimpy” (Nichole) Wilkinson both of Shreve, Terry Roberts and Charles Ferguson both of Mansfield; grandchildren, Clint (Destiny) Wilkinson, Luke Wilkinson and Leah Rusin and two great-grandchildren.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters, Earnest “Spud”, Newt and Vernon Ferguson, Lena Steele, Eileen Madigan and Midge McIntire.

Friends may call Thursday, Sept. 29th from 4-6 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home where Pastor Randy Wert will conduct services at 6:00 p.m.   Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff of Wooster Community Hospital for all the wonderful care that they gave to Danny and to their family during Danny's brief stay.
