Dan R. Troyer

Dan R. Troyer, 97, of 8862 Township road 559, Millersburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 at his home.

Dan was born January 17, 1922 in Wayne County to the late Rudy C. and Amanda (Otto) Troyer and married Anna B. Troyer on Jan. 2, 1947.  She preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 2012.  He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a retired farmer.  Dan had served in the Civilian Public Service Camps for 3 years during WW II.

Surviving are his children, Jonas (Dena) Troyer of the home, Milton (Laura) Troyer of Millersburg, Harvey Troyer of Butler, Clara (Noah) Schwartz of Kentucky, Esther Troyer, Lydia Troyer, Mattie Troyer and Sarah Troyer all of Millersburg; a son-in-law, Leroy (Lydia Sue) Chupp of Pennsylvania; 36 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Iva Troyer of Maysville, Nancy Troyer of Mt. Hope, Ada Chupp and Katie Troyer both of south Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Elizabeth Chupp, Delilah Troyer and 2 infant daughters, a granddaughter, a great-grandson and 7 brothers and 4 sisters.

Services will Saturday, Nov. 2nd at 9:00 a.m. at the Residence with Bishop Ivan S. Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Wengerd Cemetery, Prairie Township.  Friends may call anytime at the residence.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
