Dale Kent Imhoff

April 18, 1958 — November 2, 2022

West Salem

Dale Kent Imhoff, 64, of West Salem, stepped into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 surrounded by his family after an 8 year battle with cancer.

Dale was born on April 18, 1958 in Orrville to John Clarence and Elsie Mae (Koppes) Imhoff and was a 1977 graduate of Northwestern High School.  On July 2, 1977 he married Martha “Marti” Stutzman and she survives.  Dale retired from Santmyer Oil and was a faithful member of Mohican Church of the Brethren.  A devoted man of God, Dale traveled to Guatemala, Hatti and the Central African Republic as well as to Florida and to the Carolinas doing mission work and providing disaster relief.  He loved doing for and giving to others and his door was always open for anyone in need.  Dale was a “Mr. Fix It” who enjoyed tinkering and fixing whatever was broken.  He will be greatly missed but will always be remembered for his determination, his strength and his faith in God.

Surviving are his wife, Marti; his children and their spouses, Kathleen “Kathi” and John Russell of Wooster, Lori and Jim Erf of West Salem, Marita and Scott Harer of Bloomville and James and Tiffany Stansfield of Jeromesville; his 11 grandchildren, Autry, Kobe and Kennedy Russell, Asher and Hayden Erf, Kylie, Abigail and Elsie Harer and Makenna, Miura and Holton Stansfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Helen Imhoff and Bruce and Jamie Imhoff of West Salem and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Clarence and Elsie Imhoff, a brother, Glenn Imhoff and an uncle, Edwin Koppes.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8th at 11:30 at Mohican Church of the Brethren with Pastors Chad Palmer and Paul Bartholomew officiating.  A private family graveside service will be held prior to the service.  Friends may call on Monday form 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at Mohican Church of the Brethren.  Memorial contributions may be made to Water For Good, 9511 Angola Ct., Suite 251, Indianapolis, IN 46268 or to Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 Elyria Rd., West Salem, OH 44287.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.

The family extends their deepest thanks to the staff of LifeCare Hospice for all their loving support and care.
