D. Arline Hosfeld

D. Arline Hosfeld, 91, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, April 6, 2018 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg after a period of declining health. Arline was born Sept. 27, 1926 in Apple Creek to the late Guy and Eva (Franks) Burgan and married Richard C. Hosfeld on Sept. 27, 1947. Dick preceded her in death on July 21, 1997. She had worked at the Fredericksburg Pottery and at Lytle’s Grocery Store in Fredericksburg for 18 years. Arline was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and was a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion Auxiliary. She had been a poll worker for over 30 years for the Wayne County Board of Elections and had been a volunteer at the Fredericksburg Library. Arline enjoyed playing cards and her cats over the years. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Don Wright of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Josephine and Phillip Botha of Fredericksburg and Richard and Andrea Wright of Minneapolis; great-grandchildren, Reinier, Oliver and Henry Botha and Benjamin and Sofia Wright; sisters-in-law, Jean Wolboldt of Holmesville and Betty Burgan of Sugarcreek; nieces and nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Karl, Archie and Ben and a sister, Mabel Feikert. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
