Ronald Curtis Raber, 67, of Wooster, passed away at home unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025.
Curt was born on Dec. 26, 1957 in Orrville to Ronald Rex and Phyllis (Scheufler) Raber and was a 1976 graduate of Waynedale High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration for Malone College and on Sept. 15, 1984 he married Karen Spencer who survives. He had operated Raber Properties for over 20 years and had served on the Tri-County Board of Education. Curt had been active in his sons’ activities over the years and had served as a trustee for the Wayne-Holmes Soap Box Derby. A true Democrat, Curt had a heart for those in need.
Surviving is his wife, Karen; sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Rachel Raber of Hilliard and Christian and Jenna Raber of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Viviana, Addilyn, Nolan and a new baby on the way; his father, Rex Raber of Apple Creek; sister, Renae Ruggles of Cuyahoga Falls; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Laurel Raber of Wooster; his mother-in-law, Anita Spencer of Fredericksburg and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Raber and his father-in-law, Willis Spencer.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 11th from 4 – 6 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. A private burial will be held at Fredericksburg East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
