Cora Elizabeth Morris

Cora “Liz” Parsons Morris, 60, of Rittman, formerly of Creston, died peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Autumnwood Nursing Center in Rittman following a lengthy illness. Born Cora Elizabeth on July 26, 1955 in Lodi to the late Howard Sr. and Darie (Bailey) Parsons, she graduate from Norwayne High School in 1973. On May 20, 2000 she married Elbert Clifford Morris, Jr. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1913. Liz had worked at the former Royal Castle Restaurant in Burbank, at the 76 Truck Stop and later at the Medina County Home. She had made her home in Creston most of her life. Surviving are a brother, Howard (Barb) Parsons Jr. of Orrville and sisters, Helen Parson and Patricia (Tom) Messenger both of Wooster. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister Pearl Belle. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Deborah Quillen officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
