Rocky River

Connie T. Graham, age 77, of Rocky River, passed away after a battle with cancer on November 26, 2020.  She was born in Lodi, Ohio on February 8th 1943, to the late Harold and Ruth (Miller) Thompson.  Connie was a graduate of Norwayne High School and earned her teaching degree at Ashland University.  Connie had a love for children, demonstrated by a long career as a first grade teacher for the Berea City School System.  In retirement, she continued this love for children through her piano instructions.  Connie was an inspired author whose book “Wit, Wisdom and Wonderment” captured many stories of her care for children whom she loved as family.

An avid horticulturalist, Connie’s gardens were enjoyed by many individuals.  Some of her social activities included playing bridge, extensive travel, and family genealogy.  Her dear friend Diamond Economy shared many of these experiences.

Connie is survived by her devoted son, John (Melissa) Graham, grandchildren William and Ava Graham, brothers Phillip (Janice) Thompson and James Thompson, sisters Joyce (Don) Shrimplin, Lisa (Kevin) Calame and Shelia Thompson.

A private service will be held on Sunday at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with interment at Jackson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
