Connell Lance Gregory

Connell L. Gregory, 85, of Creston, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 at his home after a period of declining health.

Connell was born on Jan. 15, 1939 in Webster Springs, WV to Ira and Ruby (Wyne) Gregory and graduated from Webster County High School.  He retired from Republic Power Metals and had made his home in Medina prior to moving to Creston in 1994.  Connell loved the outdoors, enjoyed building and doing carpentry work, watching NASCAR and painting pictures.

Surviving are his 3 children, Wayman Gregory, Tina (Dennis) Knight and Ryan Gregory; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Gregory; sister, Sandra (Carl) Hosey and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 2003; a granddaughter, his parents and sisters, Connie Green, Tiny Gross and Sharon Carver.

Friends may call Saturday, Feb. 24th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where services will be held at 4:00 p.m.   Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery on Monday.
