Clara E. Kuhns

Clara E. Kuhns, 83, Holmesville, passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019 at Akron General Medical Center after a period of declining health.

She was born Nov. 28, 1935 to Eli D. and Lovina (Hershberger) Mast. On Dec. 15, 1955 she married William M. Kuhns and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2013. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are her 17 children, Mary (Abe) Byler and Anna (Andy) Hershberger both of Big Prairie, Esther (Ivan) Miller of Fredericksburg, Eli (Esther) Kuhns of Apple Creek, Lovina (Eli) Weaver of Big Prairie, Marty (Susie) Kuhns of Millersburg, Aden (Rachel) Kuhns of Apple Creek, Elsie (Joni) Raber of Big Prairie, David (Katie) Kuhns of Howard, Wayne (Rachel) Kuhns of Holmesville, Susan (John) Gingerich of the home, Barbara Kuhns, William Jr. (Christina) Kuhns , Clara (Al) Troyer and Martha (Merle) Miller all of Holmesville, Leroy Kuhns of the home and Erma (Joseph) Miller of Shreve; 108 grandchildren, 223 Great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Dan Mast, Atlee (Mattie) Mast, Amanda (Melvin) Yoder, Aden Mast, Emma (Eddie) Kline, Katie (Eli) Troyer, Eli (Arie) Mast, Levi Mast, Susie Troyer, Esther (Allen) Miller, Ada (Jonas) Stutzman, Lovina (Roy) Yoder and Ervin (Edna) Mast.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, brothers-in-laws and sisters- in-law, Elizabeth, Mary and Clara Mast, Wayne Weaver and Dan Troyer.

Services will be held Saturday, March 2ndat 9:00 a.m. at the Kuhns Residence with Minister Sam J. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Prairie Township, Holmes County. Friends may call Thursday and Friday at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
