Chris E. Kelly 68, of Wooster died on August 27, 2021 after a battling a long illness.

Chris was born in Lodi, OH on October 20,, 1952 and was the son of Edwin Henry and Mary Lou (Reed) Kelly of Burbank. Chris married his wife, Belinda Metheney on January 22, 1971, and they happily celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. They had three children, Scott (Denise), Tammy, and Jeff (Dawn), along with two grandchildren, Travis and Taylor all from Wooster. Chris also is survived by two brothers, Jeff Kelly of Matthews, NC and Rod Kelly of Burbank.  Chris worked as a shop foreman and draftsman for Sharon Ornamental Iron in Medina OH for 25 years along with operating his own welding shop C.K. Welding. Chris was very proud that both his sons and grandson followed in his shoes becoming welders. He loved to mow his yard and spend time with his family. Some of his fondest memories were of the times his 14 year old grandson would put him in the truck and take him mudding in the neighbors cornfield. Chris was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother, Billy. Chris was loved by his family and will deeply be missed.

Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
