Charlotte Yvonne Goehring

Charlotte Yvonne Goehring, 87, of Lodi, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Akron General Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Charlotte was born October 3, 1935 in Chatham, to Charles L. and Catherine (Shaw) Grim and was a 1953 graduate of Lodi High School, where she was the class Valedictorian.

She had worked at Manner's Big Boy, the Chatham Store, L&K/JR Restaurant and Miller Brothers in Lodi. She served on the Chatham Township Rescue Squad and was the first woman Paramedic on the Department. Charlotte had enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking and gardening and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her children, Tammy Johnson of Lodi, Cathy Goehring of West Salem and Chris Goehring of Rittman; her adopted son, Sam Rose; daughter-in-law, Patricia Goehring; grandchildren, Tristion Goehring, Tyson Johnson, Zack Rose and Sarah Buca; great-grandchildren, Kylur Rose, Avess Rose, Kianne Reese, Lane Johnson, Ulrich Johnson, Charlotte Buca, Eleanor Buca and Elizabeth Goehring and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Grim and Beth Grim.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Goehring; granddaughter, Megan Goehring; great-grandson, Damien Reese; brothers, David, Bill, Chuck and Hilliard and sisters, Phyllis, Jean, Bobbie, Shirley, Joanna and Maggie.

Service will be Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following at Chatham Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services.
