Charles Darrell George Sr.

Charles Darrell George, Sr., 69, of Kensington and formerly of West Salem, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton after a lengthy illness.

Charles was born on March 18, 1955 in Sutton, WV to the late Dow and Lena (Crosier) George and married Martha Canfield on Nov. 7, 1971.  He retired from ArtiFlex Manufacturing in Wooster and enjoyed working in his shop building and playing music.

Surviving is his wife, Martha; his children, Richard George, Brian and his wife Crystal George,, Steven George r and Kristan George; grandchildren, Deven, Preston, Summer and Bock; 2 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Shirley Morris, Donnie George, Pam Rumovits, Michael and Kim George, and Carolyn and Mark Phillips and brother-in-law, Ralph Simms and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Jr., his parents and brothers and sisters, Ronnie, Kenneth, Randy, Patsy Simms and Doris Curtis.

Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 3rd from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, Oct. 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Lambert Chapel Cemetery in Belington, WV.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for final expenses.
