Charles Darrell George

Charles Darrell George, 49, of West Salem, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at this home after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

He was born in Eklins, WV on Dec. 17, 1973 to Charles and Martha (Canfield) George and had worked at Dingess Lumber Co. in Belington, WV.  Chuckie loved riding his 4-wheelers and and working on power saws and motors.

Surviving is his parents, Charles and Martha of West Salem; brothers, Richard George of West Salem, Brian (Crystal) George of Kensington, OH and Steven George of West Salem; a sister, Kristan George of West Salem; nephews and niece, Devan, Preston, Summer and Brock and a great-niece and a great-nephew as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 8th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Burial will be Friday, Nov. 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Lambert Chapel Cemetery in Belington, WV.  Contributions may be made to the Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 to assist with final expenses.
